More than just a place to purchase wine.
Founded in 2024 in the heart of Oklahoma City, Monopole Wine Co is an anticipated project brought to life by two young, local wine professionals, Tony Rivera and Madi Franklin. After first meeting in 2020 and reconnecting in 2022 at a mutual friend’s party, they spent the following two years trying to find a way to work together. These two personalities make for the ‘perfect pairing’ when it comes to being able to offer you a personal guide through the world of wine. Their connections with esteemed winemakers, importers, and brand ambassadors ensure you receive the most authentic experience and access to great wine, providing you with more than just a place to purchase wine.

The Faces Behind the Curation
Tony Rivera
A born and raised Oklahoman, while pursuing an undergraduate degree in music, Tony developed his love for wine while working in a local restaurant. After leaving restaurants, he spent six years as a buyer in independent wine and spirits retail before transitioning into distribution wholesale with Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits in their fine wine division. At SGWS, he spent over three years building valuable relationships with producers and importers. Tony’s formal wine education comes from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. He currently holds a Level 3 Award in Wine and plans to complete his Level 4 Diploma in Wine by 2027. With a commitment to personalized service, Tony combines his extensive industry knowledge with a passion for connecting people to all wine has to offer.
Madi Franklin
With a background in biology and chemistry, Madi discovered the world of winemaking while working on vineyards on the Greek islands of Lipsi and Santorini. After returning to Oklahoma City, she managed a local wine bar for nearly two years. In 2021, Madi moved to Piacenza, Italy, to pursue a Master’s Degree in Viticulture & Enology at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and intern at Ruffino Estates. She is now the Viticulture & Enology Coordinator for the State of Oklahoma and an adjunct professor of International Wine and Culture at her alma mater, Oklahoma State University. Madi’s passion for wine and hospitality, unique experience, and technical knowledge of wine making and grape growing makes her a valuable asset to the team.
